The Japanese brand intends to enter the Guinness Book on September 18 when it celebrates the largest MX-5 meeting in Essen (Germany). Mazda Spain will bear the registration costs of the first five owners who sign up for the event.
The event has been organized on the occasion of the 20th birthday of the Mazda MX-5and also coincides with the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Japanese manufacturer (click here if you want to know its history). The appointment will take place at the Zollverein World Heritage from the German city of Essen, known as “the most beautiful coal mine in the world”.
The goal of the organization is achieve the world record of the largest parade and official concentration of units of the legendary roadster. To help achieve this feat, Mazda Spain will give away the registration -valued at 300 euros- to top five spanish that participate in it. Registration can be done on the website www.mx-5worldrecord.com.
Along with the parade, the day will include activities like concerts, a parking of “beauties” where you can admire the most exclusive models and a exposure that will gather from the oldest units to the latest versions (20th anniversary) or concepts (MX-5 Superlight). There will also be contests that will reward the most beautiful car, the oldest, the one with the highest mileage and the one that has traveled the longest distance to attend the historic event.
