Will it go into production?

triumph is working on its first electric motorcycle, although the British company has not yet been clear about its use of this prototype, which goes by the name of Project TE-1, will lead directly to a production model.

It was announced almost a year ago, in March 2021, but at that time only a few first sketches were shown, as well as a preview of the technical specifications of the model. Now, the process is much more advanced, its battery is finished and it is entering the last phase of tests.

It is a naked very muscular and quite compact in size. It is not yet its definitive image (it will be revealed in the final phase of the project), it already transmits forcefulness with the double front headlight, the few side plastics and the short seat, which makes this a motorcycle to be enjoyed alone.

What you see in the images is the result of phase three of the process, in which a first fully functional prototype has already been created that includes the battery developed in the previous phase, with a capacity of 15 kWh and that is key to the performance of the motorcycle.

It has a continuous power of 90 kW and can develop peaks of 170 kW, allowing the bike to deliver continuous power of 80 kW and spikes 130 kW. In addition, thanks to a 360 volt system, it is compatible with fast charging systems that allow it to fill from 0 to 80% of its energy in just 20 minutes.

Now the Triumph TE-1 embarks on a new testing phase that will last six months and will include both road tests and circuit entries, which will serve to achieve a final calibration.

The process is expected to be completed in the summer of this year, at which time the final design of the prototype will be shown, as well as its specific technical specifications.
