The record until now was the time set by the Tesla Model S Plaid Track Pack.

The Rimac Nevera 2023 destroys the electric record at the Nürburgring (onboard lap). And the record that existed until now was the time set by the Tesla Model S Plaid Track Pack. With a time of 7’05″298 it has become the fastest electric car on the German circuit, in the 20.6 kilometer long variant. It was the Croatian driver Martin Kodrić who completed the lap with Michelin Cup2R tires .

The hypercar has a 120 kWh battery. Its engines generate 1,940 HP and 2,360 Nm of maximum torque so that the Nevera accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 1.74 seconds. The same electric car covers the quarter mile in 8.25 seconds and reaches a top speed of 412 km/h.

“Fresh off breaking 23 records in a single day and conquering the world-famous Goodwood climb with a historic mark, the Rimac Nevera today broke the Nürburgring Nordschleife lap record for a production electric vehicle, setting a hugely competitive time of 7:05.298. . The Nevera is now among the fastest production cars ever driven on the famous 20.8 km long test track, a feat all the more impressive because the Nevera was developed primarily as a hyperGT, rather than a car built for devour the race tracks. Fasten your seatbelt for an uninterrupted, record-breaking lap on board with the Croatian pilot Martin Kodrić”, said the brand on the video of the return.

Rimac’s own CEO, Mate Rimac, said: “In many ways, the Nevera has reinvented the world of hypercars, bringing new technologies, new capabilities and new levels of performance. But the easiest way to demonstrate your dynamism is to go out and break records. And that is exactly what we have done in 2023 again and again.”
